1. SCOPE:
This Work Method Statement for Grounding and Bonding Procedure covers the new installed building and Substations in __(Project Name)_ Project.
2. PURPOSE:
The purpose of this procedure is to provide for the detailed requirements that shall be followed during Grounding and Bonding system and Instrument Master Reference Grounding Installation.

5. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
5.1. Necessary safe work permit shall be obtained. All person involved in these activities shall wear complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with safe work requirements.
5.2. Barricades and Signboards shall be installed around the working area to restrict from other not involved in these activities.
6. QA/QC REQUIREMENTS:
6.1. Contractor’s E&I Inspector shall verify all materials and tools as per SAES-P-111 Sec.5.2 A, B, C&D.
6.2. Contractor’s E&I QC Inspector shall carefully check the work execution against all relevant drawings, applicable standards and specifications, Codes and Manufacturing Instruction Manual.
6.3. The quality control program shall be as per (SAES) Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards.
6.4. The detailed inspection stages and methods shall be as per the approved inspection and test plan.
6.5. All installed below and above ground grounding system shall be inspected for elevation and routine as per approved IFC drawings.
6.6. Inspection and test plan must be submitted ahead of time for SAPMT, SAPID and TECNICAS RHEUNIDAS.
7. METHOD OF PREPARATION:
7.1. Experience Electrical Personnel to perform Grounding System Installation.
7.2. Familiar of Exothermic or CADWELD Manufacturer Manual and Instructions.
7.3. All required connection points are earthed using continuous grounding conductor.
7.4. Grounding cable, ground rod and accessories size is as per project specification and approved IFC drawings.
7.5. Check approved correct accessories material used
7.6. Check mechanical protection of ground cable.
7.7. Check all underground splices and bonding.
7.8. Location is correct as per latest approved IFC drawings
7.9. All sharp edges removed, cable protected adequately.
7.10. Check cable connection point is appropriate.
