My interest in solar energy was prompted by the first serious energy crisis in the US around 1972–1973, which was further aggravated by a renewed crisis in 1978.
This book has been created as a Guide book to satisfy the demand of solar house designers. It is aimed to provide a uni-fied experience base of the various solar options whichdesigners may consider appropriate as selections, individuall or in combination, for their client owner and/or architect in
developing their own solar house.
The chapters have been organized into sections that cover these options and their many factors. This will help the solar designer when formulating their plans with the client/owner. Some important design guidelines that stand out as being particularly critical for the solar house designer have been highlighted.
